Chris Avore is the principal of Erova Studios LLC and founder of UX Show and Tell.

He directs all new business opportunies and provides user experience consulting services to clients in the financial, entertainment, higher education, and government sectors.

Chris has focused his career exploring how design strategy leads to successful products. Such an approach provides unique, leverageable perspective into the fundamental problem space in which we work through as practitioners and strategists. In other words, Chris brings both the strategic perspective to a project, and the tactical capability to help implement the ideas set forth.

Recent projects include developing design strategy efforts for two of New York's renowned interaction design studios and designing the social, collaboration, and interaction strategy across pharmaceutical manufacturer Merck & Co.'s enterprise.

Chris is also actively engaged in the user experience community, both as a leader and participant. He has organized UX Show and Tell events on three continents and 5 countries and has spoken at the Interaction10 conference in Savannah Georgia, and is currently on the board of directors for the New Jersey chapter of the Usability Professionals Association.

He's proud of his liberal arts background but has also excelled in specialized coursework. Following his English degree from the University of Maryland in 1998, Chris studied multimedia authoring at Georgia Tech, and completed graduate study in human factors and human-computer interaction within the Human Centered Computing program at UMBC.

An avid traveler and golf enthusiast, Chris has played rounds in 35 states and two countries, on courses with such magnificient natural backdrops as the Arizona desert, Lake Michigan, the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, the Grand Tetons, the South Carolina Lowcountry and the Alaska Mountain Range.

Chris also enjoys getting away from his MacBook Pro to enjoy time with his wife, toddler, and Miles, their English bulldog.
