Digital Ground Book Review Published

Johnny Holland, an online interaction design magazine, recently published my review of Malcolm McCullough’s 2004 text Digital Ground, a book I argue is more relevant today than when first published 5 years ago.

The magazine is an open collective talking, sharing and finding answers about the interaction between people and products, systems or processes.

McCullough himself said that while new reviews have been limited (which is understandable for a 5 year old text),  few reviews have been “this helpful”.

Read the complete review and other insightful articles by such authors as Jeroen Van Geel, Will Evans, Adrian Chan and Steve Baty at Johnny Holland Magazine.

  • This book is a wonderful look at the background and future of interaction design. McCullough provides wonderful depth of understanding for the reader on the many discipline that support interaction design: psychology, architecture, cultural anthropology, technology. Not only does McCullough draw the disciplines together nicely, it is done seamlessly to the reader.
